Wii U has been in a rut forever and Xbox One is now slowing production. Can they recover?

Xbox One has the power of the cloud and DirectX technology to rely on, and Wii U has Mario Kart 8, Smash and Zelda U but no hardware tools for improvement.

As long as Sony keeps making consoles, there is no reason for Microsoft to make consoles.

The Wii U has more than a chance of recovery, it has the promise of a recovery. The problem is that people seem to think it has to be competitive with the Xbone and PSbore and sell as much as them to be successful. It doesn't, because it isn't the same thing as them. It is a far more independent and sell reliant system. Nintendo is in a league of its own and has been for a long time. It's success exists independent from the illusion of a console war.

I agree with Celes.

I also think that Nintendo's main competition are memories of old Nintendo consoles and games.

Twin consoles are something really unnecessary. Even so everybody thinks Nintendo should do the same thing as PS4 and have the same games. As long as Nintendo offers something different and unique. It will always be an option for me.

All the Xbone has to do is remove the Kinect and charge $350.

The Wii U is fundamentally flawed in that developers don't know how to use it.

The Wii U wasn't released with any strong games and hasn't released enough since it's been out. As soon as the big games come out (Mario Kart, SSB, Zelda, Metroid), the Wii U will be just fine

The Xbox One hasn't even had a global launch yet and it's doing well in America. The Wii U has a very important year ahead of it and I dare not predict anything.

XBOX One recover? From what? They have sold almost twice as much to this point compared to the 360. That's with a $500 price tag up until 2-3 weeks ago. 4+ million consoles in 5 months. Once the price comes down to $399 it's gonna be selling like mad. And then Halo 5 will hit the shelves.

If you are just going off number of sales compared to competition then you will have trouble sleeping at night.
