Have a Wii U that is region free to all Wii U games that will ever be made or continue to have backwards compatibility with Wii.

Most games I want get localized. Backwards compatibility is really important for me since I don't have to worry as much about hardware deterioration

Backwards compatibility. Unless the Japanese games I want have English subtitles in it, I don't want it(unless it's a fighter like P4AU).

I would take backwards compatibility for sure. But why not have both?

Region free.

BC is a crutch until the newer console has games. Importing implies theres already games worth playing in whatever corner of the world.
It's not about graphics vs gameplay, it's about profits vs gameplay. Profits are more important than gameplay in this forum. -lgi on the Wii U messageboard

BC, region locking or not does not bother me at all.

BC. Saves money on buying controllers and stuff.
Plus it was great with the Wii because our GC stopped working
Used GameFAQs for ages, finally made another account after 6 years.

Region free really isn't that important, as people who even buy games from other region are a rarity.

Also, why don't we have both? *insert mexican music here*

But seriously, the GBA was backwards compatible and region free, and so was the DS I believe. So why not do both.
