Nope, though I'd say that for the other systems too, it's never good to go all digital

There are no manuals. The manuals are digital. Stop trolling.

If you have the deluxe system, go for it. 10% back on all purchases is a nice bonus, and you can often find sales on eShop cards as well (in addition to sales on the eShop itself).

Probably meant the inserts. I still keep mine, including the used CN insert.

While I want to say the typical, "It's a Nintendo console, so you shouldn't worry about it breaking or anything like that", it's also an HD console, which ALL have stupidly high failure rates (My 360 bricked weeks after buying it, my PS3 is on it's way out, but it's had nearly 5 years).

I'd say... maybe.

Purchases are locked to your console. So, if your machine breaks, you have to transfer the files manually. I'm pretty sure you can now transfer data from one Wii U to another, but it used to be that you had to jump through hoops to fix this.

Personally, if the file transfer thing works like it does on the 3DS, then I'd say yes. If not, then no.

I'm 100% digital on PS3, PS4, and Xbox 360.

While I bought a few games digitally on Wii U, they are gone since I got rid of the system for personal reasons. On Wii U, I feel like digital is bad for retail games (ie Resident Evil: Revelations, Assassin's Creed: IV) but good for smaller games (Shovel Knight, Guacamelee).

The retail downloads are huge, and you need to buy an external drive for more space. Also, if your system die and you replace it, you can't redownload AND have to get Nintendo to unlink your NNID from the previous system so you can use it on the current system. That's my biggest problem.

Unless you get a bigger harddrive, no, its an awful idea because the deluxe Wii U only has 32 gigs.

The Wii U board is seriously just awful.

What you could first try to do is talk to those kids and explain to them that those games are important to you, cost a lot of money and that you're very careful with them. And that you'd like them to be very careful with them as well. If that doesn't work and they're the kind of brats that just won't listen or respect your games, just put those games in a place where those kids won't reach/find them. There's no problem in not letting them play the games if they aren't responsible enough to treat them carefully.
