I get this everytime I try to play Zelda Breath of the Wild for some reason,
I just bought the physical version of the game and wanted to play it, it download an update just fine but when I try to start the game I get a black screen with that error.
It only happens with that game that is the latest one that I have bought.

Do you have an HDD connected? Is the update located in the Wii U?

To be honest, its a friend that is having this problem, he was playing fine but now every time he tries to load his file he gets this error.
But only with this game, what could be the problem?

Nobody can really help you if you can't say if the external USB is an external usb harddrive or a usb flash drive.

I used to get errors like this when playing with a cheap flash drive. It may be going out, which can happen after some use. I think that if you are going to use a flash drive with the Wii U then it needs to be a quality one.

Flash drive problem. Had similar issues when I used one.
