Anyone know if Nintendo charges for repairing the sensor bar? Have a launch day unit and one of the panels in front of the lights keeps falling off. I know they sell new ones for $10, but don't know about repair.

No, but even then it won't matter, since the Infrared lights in the Sensor Bar are invisible to the human eye anyways. Heck, the Wii U Gamepad has Infrared lights on it, and even 2 lit candles can act like a sensor bar.

jumper1234 is right. Two candles can replace the sensor bar.

The sensor bar doesn't actually sense anything. It just emits two infrared lights. The wiimote does the sensing. It sees those lights. That's why candles will work, as fire emits infrared.

If you got your sensor bar repaired by Nintendo, it would cost more than $10. You also have to factor in shipping.
