I preferred when we hardly knew anything about the forerunners.

Like with Halo CE and all the forerunner structures, they looked so cool to me and I loved not knowing what made them and how they got their, me and my friends would speculate what they looked like and what not and then Halo 4 came out and pretty much ruined everything. Also the Didact was terrible and was just like a comic book villain. Imo they never should have done anything with the forerunners.

I agree. Bungie didn't touch the Forerunners and for good reason. The mystery is that other spice of life and when we pretty much know that it's going to be fleshed out and solved in future games it's hard to go on.

Then where would the story go? Just because halo 4 did a bad job of explaining stuff doesnt mean it shouldn't expand the halo lore.

@Blade_Runner_07

Then it's a good thing the Precursors are twice as mysterious as Forerunners ever were.

Wait what? You haven't heard of Precursors yet?

Interesting.

You are asking those questions towards people who PREFER ignorance, so I highly doubt they have any idea what you're speaking about, since it would actually require reading a thirst for knowledge.

The point still stands. Anyone who cares enough about some mysterious element in their Halo games should know that it's still there with the Precursors. If they don't know who the Precursors are then it makes all the more mysterious.

Alright, let's try this again. Here's the above message of mine that was deleted by a moderator, for whatever reason...

SPOILERS

It was only the first game of an entirely new trilogy (and probably a spin off or two thrown in there as well), give it some time... we see a grand total of two Forerunners in the entire game; kind of unfair to judge the entire civilization based on a mad Didact and his very dead wife's avatar.

I personally love the history of the Forerunners, and what we have learned so far from Halo 4, and the Forerunner novels, has changed the way I look at the original trilogy (in a good way). I would suggest reading the Forerunner novel series, if you haven't already? Or watch the various terminal videos from Halo 3, Anniversary, and 4.

Is your love of not knowing things the reason for your not knowing the difference between their and there?
