Hey guys, long time lurker to these boards, trying to finally start posting regularly. Although I lurk a lot, I'm not that good. One, because I don't practice enough; two, I don't play enough (online or with actual people). As a result, I have low match-up experience, choke things up, and nerves often get to me. Trying to level up my game, and play with some nice people.
As you can see in my sig, I use Joe/Hawkeye/Doom. Team "Red Zone". Very proud of this team, as this is my first 'true' main team. In the past, I would never stick to a single team, and would keep switching characters.
Anyways, I hope to play with you guys! Unfortunately, I can't really play this weekend. Busy watching SCR, and a few of my friends/family have birthdays around this time. You can almost always catch me playing around 4 - 6 PM Central Time Zone (I live in Texas). Hope to play you guys soon!
Jamel183 whatever it is, practice your combos and study what your opponent keeps doing and adapt. You have decent movement and I'm sure you'll get your combos down in no time. Another tip is not to panic, when you're losing or someone is in your face, you'll sometimes find its best to just block, be patient, and look for the opening.
Your Iron Fist is decent, you got a good thing going with him, just learn his easy, high damage combos.
Skrull: you definitely need to learn his combos and learn to end your meteor smashes with inferno when they don't connect and you can be hit (don't waste the meter if they can't touch you though), also, even if meteor smash connects, doing inferno right after is a ton of damage.
Hawkeye: don't be afraid to be lame, it's what he's good at. Also, you should have no qualms about punishing any mistake with gimlet, you'd be surprised how many wins you might have had just from this. Also learn combos. Another tip is his level 3 otgs, so if you have the meter and you're sure it will kill, feel free to end combos into that if the opportunity presents itself.
Something tells me you probably won't see it.
Get a mic!
