Winning with a "low tier" and two great assists does not make the low tier good.

Marvel 3 is also a game in which the overall team matters more than individual characters.

This has been a public service announcement and is sincerely not directed at anyone in particular.

This is a fair point, but at the same time if you take a low tier and give them two assists that remove all/most of their weaknesses (leaving all of their good points) doesn't that make them good?

I mean, you just said the overall team is more important, right?

That would only make the team decent, not the character. You're using the strengths of one character to cover for another.

True, the only "low tier" character I ever use is Ghost Rider, and he is always backed by characters classified as good. Even I admit Ghost Rider sucks. But this is a team game so it doesn't matter.
The official Ghost Rider of the UMvC3 board by default.

It's a team game, and you judge characters by their ability to win within a team structure, not alone. How good the character is solo is entirely unimportant unless you plan on anchoring that character or you plan to see a lot of snapbacks with your team structure.
