That is what I thought...One is 872x2, the other is 833x2. Unless its just the Gunzerking glitch screwing with me but it seems like even single a shot from the harold does more than a shot from 1 of the shotguns at optimal range.
If you've got points in "I'm Your Huckleberry" that's going to push your handgun performance up a bit. Also, if you've got points in "Divergent Likeness" you'll also gain a bonus to damage for using two of the same types of weapons... so if you're using akimbo DP Harolds, with the pistol-boosting skill it'll do some obscene damage.

When they did The Bee nerf, it was primarily focused on multiple projectile weapons and Tediore reloads, but more things than The Bee seemed to have been affected. Apparently, if you have any bonus damage from skills, that now gets divided by the projectile count of the weapon you are using, so if you have a 30% damage bonus active from Divergent Likeness or some similar skill, and are using a weapon with 10 pellet count, that bonus gets divided and only a 3% damage bonus is applied, probably in the same way The Bee's amp damage is divided between projectiles. However, certain weapons escaped The Bee nerf, and they seem to be weapons that don't list multiple projectiles on the item card, or at least, not all of them. The Sand Hawk fires 8 projectiles, but only lists 1. The Double Penetrating Unkempt Harold fires 14 projectiles, but only lists 2, which would grant you a 15% damage bonus with Divergent Likeness, and might only split The Bee's amp damage in half, while still applying it to every projectile, and also applying fully to every explosion on top of that (which should work for the shotguns as well).
