this is another build ive thought about for 50. not nearly the DPS, but really good survivability. i am trying to keep res in to help out my friend as i am playing this character almost exclusively co op. this one seems like it would be fun for crowd control and manipulating the battlefield.
ive read on thoughtlock, and honestly, to me it does appeal all that much. i prefer fighting the enemies rather than watching them fight each other, and it seems like it would be pretty worthless against raid bosses. feel free to correct me if im wrong as i have not ever used the skill. just going based on its description
both this and the other are designed around using the legendary siren COM. i got one from pete on a different character, so i already have one waiting in my bank for when i hit 50. the 1s in bottom skills are simply to take full advantage of the COM's bonus points.
Increasing cool down rate sounds a bit misleading. Phaselock has a base cool down of 13 seconds, or a cool down rate of 1/13. Increasing that by 12% by having 2 points in Quicken makes that rate 1.12/13, for a cool down time of 11.6 seconds, a pretty small improvement. Not only that, but cool down rate experiences diminishing returns.
If you're using Res fairly often, Suspension isn't really helping that. I'd drop those 2 points from Suspension and put them into either Kinetic Reflection or Elated. I'd also drop 4 points from Flicker (assuming Legendary Class mod with that distribution?) and put them into Blight Phoenix.
ive heard very mixed reviews at best for blight phoenix. is the damage from the skill worth it? regardless, for a legendary siren setup, you are probably right about flicker. dont think id need a full 10/5 in it and the points could be useful elsewhere.
also, what are people's opinions on scorn and thought lock? i dont know a whole ton about them TBH.
Blight Phoenix is useless in my opinion. I stay at mid-long range with my siren unless my shield goes down, which means super firehawk explosions, and the blight phoenix damage isn't even noticeable.

If you're going to use Blight Phoenix, only put one point into it, it's one of the more useless skills. The 1 point in there is because it "stuns" enemies when they get burned if they get too close to you.
