Looking for a decent build for maya. i should be able to get the items myself but i just need some guidence on what to farm, skill points, etc.

Given a level 61 Siren:


Go down the Cataclysm tree until you get Ruin, then start on Motion. Leave the Harmony points for last.

As far as equipment goes, it's harder to say, A lot of people like sniping with Maya, but I like shotguns and smgs.

Depends if you want to have more survivability or dps.
The one killbot posted is nice for damage, but if you want a bit more survivability, move the points from minds eye into sweet release. Works nice with the damage and suspension and sub sequence.

I prefer immolate over helios myself though, the damage from helios in UVHM is pathetic. It's ok for pt1 and TVHM though.

Up to you wether you want Ward vs Kinetic Reflection, Minds Eye or Sweet Release, and Immolate or Helios. Helios is also nice since you'll be PLing more often.

Sweet release is almost a mandatory 2-5 points. With a 5/5 subsequence, as long as you can kill you won't die.

Motion tree for crowd control. Converge is an automatic no matter the build. Thoughtlock can keep heat off you if you insist on a bee shield or just have a hard time with multiple enemies.

Optional skills I prefer to pick to reach motion and cataclysm capstones: ward, kinetic reflection, inertia, immolate, helios. I've dumped flicker 50% of the time for foresight.

Key skills to my build? Ruin, thoughtlock, subsequence, converge, sweet release. I always get heals, kills, and survivability. No problems with uvhm at all except voracidous. This is a solo build so no res, but if you co op then you have to grab wreck. Minds eye is tempting, but unless you specialize in getting crits it's unnecessary.

Addressing yhe aforementioned paragraph: I step into a room, phaselock a low rank enemy (non-armored psycho, spiderling, average bandit). With wreck? Shoot everyone else. Without? Kill the locked enemies as subsequence chooses. Constant heals, and the heat is off you due to thoughtlock and the stagger from converge. All this is happening while ruin is slagging and killing shields, multiple times due to subsequence.

Tl; dr. **** that, read it all cause it's good info for any Maya player.

Side note. Maya is highly versatile, in the sense that you can adjust most of her skills to your playstyle, equips, and preference. Thus the reason why I main her.

Personally i don't like subsequence, i like to control "what" is phaselocked. I usually go with Ward or Inertia instead ... Also i don't think that a measly 2,5 sec lock duration are worth 5 skill points that are better spent elsewhere

... just my two cents.
