* Always use the pistol in the warm-up round. Get warmed up with it for the first round which is the pistol round. A win the first round is almost always going to guarantee a 3-0 start.

* Play to the strength of your gun. If you're using a rifle, situate yourself in a position where the opposition will be visible to you at longer ranges, and if you're using an SMG, play at a shorter range.

* Call everything out that you can see. Information is very helpful. If you don't have a mic, go buy one.

* When the bomb is planted, hustle up and try to defuse. Too many people hang around and try to get a pick from a distance and then wind up not having enough time because the opposing player(s) start hiding and play for time. They fail to account for that.

* Don't alt-tab and start posting on Gamefaqs when you die like I am now. Your team mates could use some call outs and it's good to keep your head in the game. Visualization and all that. I'm doing this right now, and we're losing.

If you follow these simple tips, then you too can rank all the way up to Gold Nova 4 like myself.
My posts, on other hand, are chalk full of definitions, analogies, concepts, and reasoning.

I figured somebody might like that comment. I used to be LE, then I went on a de-ranking spree starting in December/January. Not intentional either...just kept losing.

How can people possibly be better than MG1? I swear it's like I'm constantly dead before the enemy player even registers on my screen.
