I have been using the recently-released PS3 wireless stereo headset ( SKU 0711719807704 ). Even after disabling the three Linear PCM channels I mentioned above, the buzzing is very apparent on the right side of the headset.
So, here's how to remove the buzzing from the right side of your PS3 wireless stereo headset, when playing Elevator Action Deluxe.
In your PS3's XMB, go to [Sound Settings] -> [Audio Output Settings] -> [HDMI] -> [Manual] ->and DISABLE the following Linear PCM 5.1 Channel outputs:
Linear PCM 5.1 Ch. 48 kHz Linear PCM 5.1 Ch. 96 kHz Linear PCM 5.1 Ch.192 kHz
So, I had to disable three 7.1 channels when sending the sound to my receiver, and three 5.1 channels when sending the sound to my headset.
The common thread here is that in order to remove the buzzing from my receiver or from my PS3 wireless stereo headset, I have to disable Linear PCM channels on the 48 Hz, 96 Hz and 192 Hz frequencies. Those frequencies seem to point to a root cause.
