I love Naoto, she's one of my favorite Persona characters ever. However, as a party member, I will say that her Persona's stats and abilities don't really stand out as much in comparison to her fellow cast members (and this is despite her having access to all 4 Dyne Level spells). It's probably due to her not standing out in any particular area other than her access to Instant Kill attacks and Almighty attacks.

I like Naoto in concept. A woman who pretends to be a boy who is also a detective who struggles with her own identity and has some issues with her age as well.
I thought Naoto was a refreshingly original character, something I hadn't seen in a long time, and her story mode in Persona 4 Arena is one of the best imo as it covers a fair amount of Persona 3 and Persona 4 action.
She's an exposition character. She's like Metis in that the primary purpose of her existence is to just help move the plot forward.
The vast majority of her dialogue is just her saying stuff that the rest of the party is too dumb to figure out. She exists to be like "Oh hey guys, guess what I figured out?"
I don't dislike her, but she's just...boring. She's a fountain of exposition, who while needed, isn't necessarily enjoyable.
