K... 4 examples out of how many times this kind of thing has happened? Thousands of times for sure. You wanna sit there linking pages all night? Cuz it'll never create a ratio where you would have to worry about getting in trouble for it. It's at the very minimum a thousand to one chance. Yeah real scary.
The issue with this whole discussion is that the only thing that really matters is how an individual feels about a game in comparison to a review. If a reviewer hates a game and you like it, then that reviewer isn't reliable for your tastes. If a reviewer loves a game and you love it for similar reasons, then that reviewer is reliable for your tastes. This isn't truth, its opinion. So, in a way, both of you are right, and both of you are also wrong. The only thing that needs to happen in a review, IMO, is for it to provide as accurate of information as possible to as large of the media user base as possible. So, if you are part of the base, great. If not, you have to work harder to find reviews that match your taste, or simply disregard them all together and take a chance.
Funny how you call 'cherry picking reviews' a Nintendo fanboy move, Endgame. You know good and well if this game had received negative reviews, you'd be doing the exact same thing just to rub it into the faces of those who doubted you. By the end of the day, you've lost. Have fun trying to defend yourself and your outdated view on Fire Emblem in vain. The rest of us will be having fun getting out of this game what games are meant to provide: entertainment.

I can see why he's not from a major organization. He doesn't seem to know how to write a review. (And no, I'm not just saying this because he's criticizing a game I like, there are legitimate problems with this review.)
It's honestly a terrible review. Complaining about a clunky interface and then praising Final Fantasy Tactics as the "genre standard" says it all, but I lose all patience when he blames character death -- presumably on Normal Mode, no less -- on luck (which apparently determines double attacking in this game, contrary to everyone else's understanding) rather than his own tactics.
The IGN review, while positive, was bad because it was vague and fangirlish in place. This review, while negative, is just ass.
