Shouldn't Awakening be FE11 instead of 13? This is the first series I've ever seen where remakes are considered part of the main series.

Because they were the eleventh and twelfth games that were released, obviously.

It's what IntSys goes with, for some reason.

And I swear I know of another series that counts remakes as part of the main series but I can't remember it.
This is where I sometimes put jokes, references and such.

It's just how things turned out. The names just kind of stuck.

Now I'm curious about what you're thinking of, haha. I've never seen any game series do this until Fire Emblem.

IIRC I think it's because FE3 was a half remake. It was the entire first game plus a new story.

they axed 5 chapters in Mystery Book 1, in addition to some units who were actually in the non-axed chapters

Technically, both FE11 and FE12 added plot. Not much, particularly in FE11's case, but its there. So they weren't strictly remakes I guess?
And so begins a tale of vengeance and betrayal. Destiny by sinner sought. Tragedy by power wrought. Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume.
