Just wondering. Feel free to share your story if you wish to do so.

I personally was made aware of the franchise through Smash Bros. Melee, although through emulation, I did try an untranslated SNES Fire Emblem game before that, but I didn't understand anything.

Then when Fire Emblem came out for the GBA I bought it and fell in love with the game. I can't say I've played a lot of other FE games though. I borrowed Sacred Stones from a cousin and completed it... didn't like it as much storywise. But I never played the GC and Wii entries, even though they had my interest. Awakening is the 2nd FE game I actually own and the 3rd I've played through.

SMTIV $30 promotion. I'm a huge SMT fan. At first, I was severly disappointed, because the eShop had no good games. Then I started playing it, and what do you know, its actually pretty fun. Kind of like if FFTA, DeSu and P3/4 had a threesome

Saw FE7 show up on the top Gba boards, checked the reviews and stuff and realised it was really good, then promptly downloaded it, as it wasn't available in England (I legally bought fe9,10 and 13)

I guess. Fire Emblem predates them all though, it's one of the first SRPG's and it had a major influence in how SRPG's are these days.

My brother's bestfriend lent me his GBA and Fire Emblem for like a year.
I ended up unlocking all supports for him and most if not all music tracks.
We have since geeked out over any Fire Emblem game we could find.

Melee. Played as Marth and Roy and then when I saw the GBA Fire Emblem on display in my store I thought Roy was on the front cover and asked myself "Are Marth and Roy in this game?" Bought it and was not expecting it to be like Advance Wars. Loved the series ever since.
