Sir, are you not using pair-up?

Pair physical units with physical units, magical units with magical units, and healers with no one.

You made a mistake master sealing everyone earlier. If you promote below 20, your guys miss out on stat gains if they had leveled to 20, then promoted. That's ok though, you can still make it.

Give everyone who has B or A rank in their weapon, a silver weapon or arcfire tome from chapter 17 shop. Forge them.

Chapter 19, like the sea map, ends when you beat the boss. Unlike the sea map, you are now in a wide open field with no planks or passages to help you out. Due to this, you only want to deploy characters who can either take hits or can be someone's pair-up partner. Although you can deploy a lot of characters here, you probably don't want to do that if they can't take hits well. There are some ways to do this map. Offense or Defense.

Defense would be to make your way to the forts on either side of the map as fast as you can with your high defense units and sit on them enduring as many attacks as you can bring along a bunch of concoctions and more fragile units paired up with those sturdier units or benched. Then, once enough turns pass, and you beat all their reinforcements, make your way to Walhart and beat him.

Offense would be to take your strongest units and push your way up to where Walhart is and beat him before you get overwhelmed by the enemy units.

Def pairups: Kellam +4, Cherche: +3, +4 if Master sealed to WyLrd, Henry +3, Tharja +3, Frederick +3,

Spd pairups: Sumia +3, Cordelia +4, Panne +3, Gregor +3, Lonqu/Say'ri +5, Lucina/Chrom +4

Atk pairups: Vaike +4, Virion +3, Panne +3, Cherche +3, +4 if Wyvern Lord, Frederick +3

Mag pairups: Miriel/Rickon +4, Anna +2, Tharja +3, Henry +2

For Offense Strategy:

On the first turn or 2nd, you can pair people and then take to the trees to boost your units avoid, which is the dodging rate. If you deploy Libra or Lissa you may have to pair them to someone so they don't get hit. A lot of the action takes place on the enemy phase which is why you have to watch enemy attack range. As you push north, have some conoctions ready if Lissa are too fragile to deploy. Libra can take punishment better than Lissa. Can consider a def pairup for him as he is the healer.

A good part of offense is having the speed to attack twice.

Robin: Forge Robin's tome and then give a mag and speed tonic. If you have Anna from one of the earlier paralogues, She boosts Robin's speed by 3 and magic by 2. With this, Robin should be able to take out some guys as you push upwards. This means, no defense boost aside from tonic, but you want to take out guys fast as you push to leave less enemies for later.

Frederick as a Great Knight doesn't have good speed. If he never double attacks, he will need some speed pairups and a tonic. The highest speed is if Lon'qu or Say'ri pairs to him giving him +5 speed, followed by a speed tonic for +2 speed. If that isn't enough, you may have to make him a pair-up partner or just use him as defense as you push. As a pair-up, he gives +3 atk and def.

Nowi: While she has high defense, her dragonstone doesn't give her much speed. A good pairup for her is a speed one.

Lon'qu/Say'ri: They need a atk pair-up to boost their atk so they hit harder. Also give them str and def tonics for a bigger boost.

While they have low defenses, they have high speed. Although you promoted Lon'qu at 16, he should still have good spd. Speed is the stat that helps determine your dodging rate and doubling attacking if your spd is 4 or higher than the enemy. What helps them both is avoid+10, helping their dodge rates be better as avoid is the name for the dodging rate. Give them tonics too.

Chrom/Lucina/Marth: This depends on well they can take hits. If in front, give them more speed through pairups and tonics if they can't double anyone. If they can double, give them strength pairups to hit harder. Tonics too. Forge them Silver Swords. If defense is fragile, def pairup.

Cordelia: As a Falcon Knight, she already has high speed. Her partner can either give more atk, or more defense if you are worried about her defenses. Watch for those bows and wind magic if in front.

Henry/Gregor: Determine which stat they can use more of. Defense if they are fragile. Speed if they can't double. Atk/mag if they need more power. Or bench.

Defense Strategy:

If you go with the fort strategy, you will need some sturdy units. The characters in your lineup who can do this naturally are Frederick and Nowi. Other characters can probably take hits once they get to the forts and have good pair-up partners.

Frederick: while he has high defense, his resistance isn't good. If attacked by magic, he will take a good amount of damage. If you have any talismans, go ahead and use them. Resistance tonic helps him too. Since you will be on the forts, give him a forged hand axe or javelin sold by one of the earlier shops as ranged enemies will have to be dealt with without moving from the forts. He can take any of the other characters that are fragile and be paired to him. Or solo.

Nowi: Has high defenses. A great choice to be in front. As for her partner, again, any other fragile unit can do.

Virion: Because you are on forts, he won't be able to counter attack if attackded from one range. If you pair him with someone, he gives 3 atk and 2 def. Once you get to Walhart, and the guys immediately surronding him, you can have someone get into someone attack range with someone and end turn. Next turn, attack with Virion. Can also bench him.

Henry: His tome rank is probably higher than his sword rank, so give him arcfire from the shop. As his defense probably won't be as high as Frederick or Nowi, he will take more damage. Due to the horse, he can probably get the forts faster than the unmounted characters. If you want defense for him, def pairup and tonic. If you want speed, same.

Gregor: If there are Risen encounters around, consider leveling him to level 5 or buy a Risen Box from one of the shops. This gets him a skill that heals him along with hitting the enemy although the trigger will be based on his skill. Because you promoted him at lv14 mercenary, his skill probably won't be that high. With a skill tonic and Virion pairup +3 skill, Gregor gets +5 skill to help its activation rate. Any skillbooks you have helps here as well. Another strategy is to pair Gregor with someone.

Lon'qu/Say'ri: Probably bench them. Because the fort strategy relies on defense, theirs is low. Thier speed helps their dodging rate along with avoid + 10 skill they have but that is a dice roll. Up to you. Can boost their defense if given defense pairup. If you want to rely on their dodging, give them more speed with either a pegasus knight or panne along with speed tonic. If you want to rely on their dodging, give them more speed with a spd pairup along with speed tonic.

Panne: Her defenses aren't very high. You can pair her to someone for 3 atk/3spd. If you want her in front, can give Kellam/Cherche to her. I'd say bench.

Cordelia: If going for defense, she is vulnerable to bows and wind magic. Her defense isn't that good either. If you do deploy her, give her a defense or speed pairup along with tonics.

Chrom/Lucina: They can be either in front or a pairup partner. As a pairup partner, they give 4 spd to someone. With their dual strike +, there is a higher chance of a dual strike. If in front, give them a pariup partner. As Great Lords, they give +4 speed to someone.

Robin: Grandmaster only raises stats by 2 as a pariup partner. He works better as a frontliner. Give him a speed or defense pair-up. If defense, Henry or Tharja can give him a mag boost as well boosting his power. For speed and magic boost, give him Anna, from one of the prologues .

I paired up Cherche and Lon'qu once. She gave him like 7 str and 8 def on S support. That helped him tank better and was even better at killing enemies since he already has high speed.
