You guys have to realize that pokemon is crazily idealistic enough to make a love type. If I called it "light type" though, people would jump down my throat with "FIGHTING IS LIGHT" and etc. Guess I can't win
I don't feel it would add anything to the game and its way too abstract.
It doesn't fill any niche. It takes existing characters and totally changes them. A blissey immune to fighting? The fire/ice connections don't make a lot of sense. Fighting would now have 2 types that are immune to it, heavily crippling it and being the first type to have 2 other types immune to it. Most people would agree "love" sounds silly for a typing. The type as a whole sounds loosely connected. When I say psychic, you know what kind of pokemon you could expect from that. Same for rock, fighting, flying, grass etc. This even holds for dark, which is a more abstract type. When I say "love" type I don't immediately think of any characteristics about a certain poke. Nothing about how they fight anyway. In fact, the typing seems to be against fighting, which is the point of the game, aka no one will use it.
So now, you have a typing that isn't necessary to be added, will change existing strategies drastically, can not be visualized well, and would be added only to have almost no one use it.
That's my 2 cents.
