I remember my first Shiny I encountered was in White 1. I was in white forest and I talked to the lady who said she saw a Magby in the grass, I went looking to see if I could get one real quick before buying more powerful pokeballs and what would be the first pokemon to show itself?
A shiny magby! It looked so awesome...but I only have 1 regular pokeball
Now, obviously I didn't catch it, but if you could imagine my face when I threw my only pokeball and it shook TWICE before it popped back out...it looked something like this
Put in my old gold just to see my old pokes and the first pokemon I run into is a shiny metapod....and I had not a single pokeball...God was I stupid as a kid =|. I almost freaked out the same way and was about to break my ds when I ran into a shiny geodude about 15-20 mins into my play through on pearl. Right before I threw it I stopped and remembered they just gave me pokeballs.
The PWB: Where people say a guy who is in better shape than they ever will be is a fatass.
I found a shiny Magikarp back in GSC and, unlike most of the stories here, I actually caught it. The sad part was that in my naive 8 year old mind I thought that a yellow Magikarp obviously meant that it would become a yellow Gyarados. My plan was to breed it with a blue Gyarados to make a green one and then again with the Lake of Rage Gyarados to make an orange one. Then I would have bred the offspring with the parents and each other and so forth until I had a motherf***ing army of incestuous, rainbow Gyarados. Boom! Instant coolest kid on the block status.
But then the damn thing turned out red and made me sad.
It was on an emulator anyway so it doesn't really count
Ignoring that it was on a ROM, a Shiny is a Shiny. My Shiny Weavile is Quiet, and my Shiny Swellow is Modest, but I don't care. Just the fact that they are Shinies that I myself found and caught makes it all worthwhile.
In Heart Gold I was training for the E4 in Victory Road and encountered a shiny Graveler. I had a Lanturn out and decided to switch out to Dragonair to use Dragon Rage to guarantee I wouldn't knock it out.
I forgot that Graveler had Selfdestruct :(
Only on LUE would people be talking about Captain Planet commandeering the magic school bus- bronzeshadow There is no cure for cancer- LUE's slogan
