Not sure if this is off topic since it concerns Gen II but anyway....

I'm fighting Lab Man Roberto in the Semifinal round of the Challenge Cup and his Wobbuffet is single handedly destroying my team. It's reflecting everything! I use Thief and some how Mirror Coat reflects the damage back. I use Thunder Punch and the same thing happens! Can anyone explain whats going on?

Mirror Coat doubles the damage done by Special based attack
Counter doubles the damage done by physical based attacks.

Just poison it with toxic and keep spamming non damaging moves until it runs out of PP.

Prior to Gen IV, all Fire, Water, Grass, Dragon, Dark, Electric and Ice attacks were considered Special attacks. So Theif and Thunder Punch are special attacks in Gen II.
