An option for it would be nice, but I think hiding it by default is a good idea for the reasons everyone mentioned.

what reasons?

imagine a fighting game where they hide your life bar, is stupid.

Also you can also rage quit or chase people according to scores in stock and kill limit.

make sense people

A life bar isn't even comparable to a score

it is.

It affects the strategy directly, I remember several matches when either me or my foes over the mic were celebrating and suddenly we were on Overtime etc...

Imagine people having to remember and be aware all the times of the score while watching their sport team playing is simply laziness and lack of plan from Super Butt

So people don't rage.

People still rage

Sure but not as much as they would do and I believe this is the reason.

Or you can not be a button mashing guy and keep track of everything that goes on in the game.

Not as hard as people make it out to be.

Didn't they say they did it so people would feel they had a chance?

I use Parappa and Sir Dan so obviously I am not a button masher.

Is hard to track the kills / deaths of 4 characters

You're not supposed to track. When it comes to winning screen, you should be going "Alright, I won" or "Damn. I lost."

Correct, which is why the score should never be displayed. Otherwise, the mode with the least amount of ragequitters will have just as much as in stock. And kill limit sucks
