Japan is ultimately the deciding factor for Santa Monica's motivation for continuing on with the game, believe it or not.
A VERY lackluster debut, all you can hope for is that sales dramatically (and I mean, DRAMATICALLY) pick up the pace or this game will be dead in the water before the next quarter starts.
Yeah, that makes sense. They were probably hoping that the unorthodox fighting system would appeal to Japan's audience... but they forgot to put in more than 4 characters Japan would even like. : / Also, I'm sure that putting the new Dante was an even bigger deal in Japan than here, because that's a Japanese character being replaced by a European character. They must've been livid.
Incidentally, look at how well AC is selling. XD It's been out for a while now and it's still making a ton of money for Nintendo.
If there's not an AC character in the next Smash, I swear I'm gonna $#@% my pants.
If I haven't mentioned Trivio in my post, it's because she is so beautiful and precarious that I just wanted to show her how much she means to me.
