an almost non-existent RoF cap

I beg to differ. The RoF cap was pretty slow, even with Rapid Fire attached it bugged me that the RoF was slower than the speed I was pressing the trigger was faster than the speed of the bullets coming out of the gun. The over-sampling would mess up my aim/cost me kills sometimes.

Cod 4 originally didn't have a ROF cap but they later patched one in iirc as people were using modded controllers.

But the reloading is cool xD

It has the slowest reload when it comes to assault rifles.

Smr is osk in hardcore. Slap on select fire and 20 bullets is actually a great size clip with that power.

A lot of guns are 1 hit KO in hardcore... you only got 35 health points....

Hello.

I agree with you,i also tried the SMR and did not like it either.it is a shame because i like all the other semi-automatic assault rifles and want select fire on them all.

The SMR is also pretty bad on Zombies,if the MB gives me that i have to swap it the next round, lol.

MW3's MK14 was amazing, throw on a specialist bonus and it was unbeatable, I never lost any 1v1 gunfights from the front with MK14 + Specialist bonus.

It really does, i'd take the zombies M14 over the zombies SMR with it's ADS hipfire accuracy.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but in my opinion, the SMR is SO beast. Getting to level 10 was a pain, but once you get select fire....Goodnight. I run with Stock and
Select Fire, 2 perk 1's and 2's. The only problem I have is running out of ammo because of massive kill streaks. Seriously, this gun hits so hard, but it's not a hardcore rusher gun. If you're patient and scope around corners, you kill enemies in 2 shots.. it's almost not even fair.

For me it Tool quite some time until I found a good setup but right now I really like it with supressor, Stock and reflex sight.

Its still awesome Long Range and most of the time I am now doing better with it than with the FAL....

For those of you who like the SMR, how big of an impact is putting on a silencer?
