Why does everyone assume you can use Rapid Fire and Extended Mags together?

I've seen people post classes with those on their gun more than twice. It's like, they think you can just because of that class builder website, or because of MW3.

Well newflash. This is a sequel to Black Ops. And you couldn't do that in Black Ops.

In BO, the attachments were basically classified as Sights, Underbarrel, Magazine, and so on. You couldn't use two of the same kind. You can't use a RDS and an ACOG, and you can't use Rapid Fire with either ExMags or Dual Mags because RF was considered a magazine attachment, despite how unrealistic that is.

Why should we assume that will change? Treyarch doesn't follow IW on everything it does. There are many new things in MW2 that BO didn't copy. It seems likely that the fewer restrictions on multiple attachments will also not carry over, especially given the 10 point system. As for the website, would they really go to the trouble of programming restrictions of attachment combos instead of just listing every one and letting the user go to town?

Hell I don't even think you'll be able to use Rapid Fire and Fast Mags together, based on BO.

IF IW allowed rapid fire and emags, Treyarch is not allowing it for balance reasons obviously.
Less is more. Everything you want, isn't everything you need.

Well, you are right.
But since the game is not out yet whatever we assume is just an assumption, maybe you in fact can use Ex. Mags and Rap. Fire together.

The only smg in MW3 that could use RF+Extended mags effectively was the pp90m1. Though that might have been too effective.

It was because 'rapid fire was considered a magazine attachment' by treyarch, but purely for balancing reasons.

Same reason why Dual Wield couldnt combo with some other attachments in Blops.

Meh, pp90m1 was better in almost every way. RF+kick would be the best for the PM-9.
