The army uses an FPS with crytek engine. The marines uses some primitive PC simulator to train them. How do I know? I was in a day training with one of the simulators. The point is, video games can train people to use real life tactics to kill people. Remember the shooting in the Dark Knight Rises premiere? The shooter has the same load out as CoD soldiers. There just may be a correlation.

If you used those simulators, you'd know they're used to train teamwork and problem solving skills within the framework of military actions.

It's not going to train you to become a Marine or anything.

Times do change, but as a Marine vet, i saw no such thing. I've been out for a few years now, but it used to be that only strategic games were allowed to us.
I'm NICE, but not that nice.

Correlation isn't causation. Also, doesn't marine training that involves simulated killing do so because that's what their missions might entail? They're not just killing for the sake of killing like the theater shooter.
