If you join a match and it puts you in a match in progress, Don't join it yet. If you spectate and don't like the team you would be on or don't like the score, let the game kick you out for inactivity.

You will not get probation since technically you didn't quit

i got it for accidental team kills. kicked me and i got 5 minute probation. it said it was for quitting out, but i was kicked. go figure.

you were playing in the match and it kicked you, thats different

if you don't join the match at all and let it kick you for inactivity, you won't get probation.
