Is there anything like prestige mode online in this game? And if so then do you lose everything that you gained after you prestige?

Yes and Yes. It's called concours and you can only do it once. It also gives you a neat glitch that will freeze your game at the end of a speedlist if you join mid-game.

I wonder if people still prestiged after knowing that their game will start freezing...

I'm not gonna bother with that then unless they fix that glitch, thanks anyways.

I'll just go about keeping whatever rank I get the highest to. Though I'm always looking forward to playing against other Most Wanted racers online as I'm borrowing the game from a friend for a while. My PSN name is in my profile.

You shouldn't worry about game freezing. You could always Sign Out from PSN whenever the players' scores starts tallying during Concours. The game only freezes once your SP received is tallied.
Women shouldn't stay in the kitchen and make sandwiches. We should join the "Battlefield."

Yeah well it's just a lot easier not going concours cause then you have to work your way through everything again plus that glitch would be really annoying me lol.
