Pixar

David Hayter should do the screen play, though. Duh...

He tried. Kojima said no.

None of them. As great as those directors are (especially Bosselot), they don't play Metal Gear. The appeal would be completely lost on them. I'm a huge stickler for directors to love, and respect the source material which they're adapting.

I want a director who can do serious political thrillers for Metal Gear Solid.

Honestly the only two I was serious about were James Cameron and Nolan. The others I just threw in for the hell of it. An MGS type movie isn't really Tarantino's gig, unless maybe it was an origin story for one of the characters. And Clint Eastwood? Steven Spielberg? I just felt like writing their names :P And I included Kojima...

I think either David Fincher or Darren Aronofsky would do a good job. They always have intense pacing in their movies. Also, they'd do a good job with the craziness of the bosses.

And he's a gamer!

Also the District 9 guy Neill Blomkamp comes to mind.. But he still wants to do a Halo movie.

Main character from Escape from new york: Snake Pliskin

Solid Snake's fake name for mgs 2: Pliskin

Do you think Kojima did this on purpose or it's a coincidence?

Since you brought up escape from new york.
