Ive recently been playing action based dungeon crawlers on the PSP/Vita such as Ragnarok Odyssey, Silent Hill BOM and Lord of Arcana (tried Monster Hunter, didnt like it). Naturally, most gamers will have played other types of games that require relatively precise reflexes (FPSs, Dark Souls, DMC, Batman etc). But for those who are used to turn based/text heavy games, does the prospect of a faster paced system seem daunting?
I can't honestly say until I actually get my hands on it and try it out for myself. Right now I'm interested and excited to be playing something new, but that's all I can actually say with the info I have.
I like what LR is doing with gameplay, because I do not like 13 and 13-2's battle system.
Also turn-based does not mean heavy text.
I never intended to imply that turn based = text heavy (although they usually are). What I mean is that gamers who play turn based RPGs tend to prefer games with less action, eg sims, puzzle games etc. or maybe that's just a misconception of mine. I also imagine those who enjoy turn-based stuff in this day and age to be female.
