Hmmm, if I had to say what I hated? Probably XIII-2 excuse plot, and the lack of almost any characters from XIII having a say in the plot. The stupid things that came out of Serah's mouth count also.
Still loved the gameplay and music though.
Oh, and now that I've been going back to play a couple of earlier FF's (4 and 6) I have been imagining the dissidia voices for the characters. I keep cracking up at how stupid they would sound. Seriously, it's hilarious.
Some people want the the best of the best. Me, I'll take everything that they don't. Final Fantasy Airborne Brigade invite ID: 96353b16
Entirely failing at imitating Star Ocean: instead of being a fast-paced realtime battle system that gives useful notes to keep you up to speed with its predecessors, it's a forty-hour escort mission with cutscenes rendered pointless by the datalog.
If you've no respect for the fact that people have put the time aside to play a game with you, play a single-player game. There are thousands to choose from.
Narrative was too convoluted. Unlikeable characters (well, maybe Sazh can be exempt. And Fang has her moments). The "field" is essentially long, narrow corridors. The combat system restricts you from playing other members of your party (they're all automated); the time gauge is just....dull. It's like it wants to be an Action RPG rather than turn-based. The only positive thing: graphics; exceptional eye candy
