The music was spectacular. That's the one thing the series always does right it seems. I thought no one could match Uematsu-San, but even with the transition starting at X, they've always kept the quality up.
Until LR, I would have said graphics are the other area that FF always nails.
Music was one of the few good aspects of the FFXIII series
Pretty much this. FFXIII has some of the best tracks Ive heard since the glorious Chrono Trigger/Cross and most Falcom games. Thats pretty impressive.. but then again the one thing SqEn does a great job on consistently and always delivers is their OSTs.
FF13-2, for being so horrid at least had a few nice new tracks, altho the FF13 recycled tracks still outshone most of them.
I enjoyed all of the music... the main Lightning theme is probably one of my favorites and I was always happy whenever it played during a battle. I can only recall one time in LR where it plays, which I believe was the final dungeon while wondering around outside of a battle.
