It is $300 now, and it is a lot less powerful than the PS4/XB1, it has very little support, the Gamepad is only available for the one player to use, lack trophies/achievements? If anything, you only purchase Nintendo systems for their exclusives...

I'd need a brand new Zelda before I'd consider a WiiU, and knowing how long that takes, odds are that by the time it does release, the price will be even lower.

There is no way on this earth I would pay $300 for a wii u. I might get one when the price goes below $200 in a couple more years. But right now I don't even know of any games for it that are for adults. I like Mario Kart and Mario Tennis and that's it and I don't even know if there is wii u versions.

I already own a Wii U from near launch and it has been collecting dust all year. They release a bundle at a price cut right before the holiday season comes around when there are actual games to play. I would have hoped that they'd have announced an ambassador program like with the 3DS so as to reward early adopters at a time in which the Wii U has basically had no games, but they haven't announced one yet and may not do one at all. The whole thing just leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

At that price point, with the holiday lineup coming and some of the games in 2014, yeah, it's not terrible at that price to buy one next year. It's no PS4, still. However, buying a launch Wii U with the experience thus far? -_-

Nope. Not at all. But I'm happy to see it drop, even if it is just a little.
