Does it work with the PS4 controller at all, and function as a regular headset?

If it's Bluetooth or wired it will. There's nothing to check.

The answer is no. The Xbox One mic is designed to plug into the Xbox One controller, which takes this wide plug-in.

The wide adapter is separate from the plug itself, which it plugs into.

I just got the headset, but didn't test it out on either system yet.

I would like to know for sure, since it has the separate base for headsets included with it, and it fits in the PS4 controller itself without the base.

I tried it.

Heard some sort of thud, and can only do a few sound effects, when changing the menu.

Was quiet the rest of the time.
