4K tvs have dropped to reasonable prices so I may look into getting one Black Friday. What are you guys going to use?

1080P for now, 4K very soon. Waiting for my vacation at the beginning of December to see if there are any Black Friday deals and either pick on up, or have it delivered when I am home on vacation.

Totally going to use my old 7-inch tv/vcr combo, and it's going to rock.

For now, the 55" 1080p that grandparents got me. Would love to to get a 55" or a 50" 4K, especially since they're on sale at Best Buy for about $399.99 to $449.99 by Insignia.

Completely off topic, but my Dad used to watch a little color TV and would sit right next to it. Years and years, from me being in high school, to college, to moving out, that TV remained. It took until me and my brothers bought him a nice HD tv for Christmas a few years ago for him to upgrade. Well over a decade.

Don't buy a cheap 4K without doing a lot of research and reading what Rtings has to say about it.

Oh yea, I heard HDR adds input lag and motion blur. I'll have to do more research on TVs. New tech is so frustrating
