That's because it is. There's more going on on the screen in DriveClub, which is why it's 30fps (so far). I think I read somewhere Forza uses pre-baked lighting. DriveClub doesn't. Plus DC has day/night cycles, which is another thing Forza doesn't have. If Forza was to implement what all DriveClub is using, it would most likely be sub 30fps.

That's not to say Forza is a bad game and doesn't look good, it does.

For sure. Not downplaying Forza, it will still look and play great, just impressed by how much DC has improved.

Not much for racers, but DC is looking pretty awesome if that gif is anything to go by.

Definitely. I was disappointed when I saw that build at E3, but then I found out it was a really early build. They've upped their game up since E3. It's improved a lot. And it will only get better as we get closer to launch.

I prefer Forza's gameplay and aesthetic to that of DriveClub and couldn't care less whether the lighting is "pre-baked" or "dynamic".

People, when a game is being developed frame rate isnt just something you change. You have a target framerate you set out to meet when you BEGIN making the game. You dont go from barely doing 30fps to jumping up to 60fps.

Well I guess you know more than the developers do since they said themselves that they're aiming to have the game at 60 FPS by launch.
