Following the set requirements MS wanted to stick by.

*They still wanted to call it Xbox

*They want it to be the central hub of your TV and entertainment.

My idea is Xbox Core

Core works because it means it's the focal point of your media system.

It also doesn't sound dumb and backwards like One

Steve.

I'd buy a Microsoft Steve.
That's just, like...your opinion, man.

Xbox Core does sound pretty nice.
Going by their plans for an always-online system: Xbox or Xbox Infinity. Why? If the system was always online, it would be the last Xbox they'd need to make since they could just stream "next-gen" games at the end of the generation using servers.

I have a feeling that this generation will be the last traditional one.
In the next-gen, both Sony and Microsoft will release their last consoles simply called "PlayStation" and "Xbox". They will be always-online systems and games will simply be streamed through Gaikai/Azure. Instead of having to buy a new system, they'll just upgrade their servers every year with more powerful specs.

The Xbox Uttocks or Xbox Ollocks, just to please all those people who love calling it the Xbox One "Xbone".

Yes it's a transparent popularist ploy with no real substance, but apparently such actions are more important than technical innovation or attempting to move the industry forward, so I'd win the console war by appeasing the gibbering masses with a childishly amusing name.

"Xbox" ... Which is exactly what we're all going to be calling it if we want it to respond to our voices.

Xbox Infinity. "One" is starting to grow on me though. Certainly not a good decision for the average consumer, but it isn't the worst.
