The prices for the consoles are much lower than what they were when the 360 and Ps3 was released. Haha

Not really. 360 launched at 400 and PS3 launched at 600. Not THAT much of a difference.

Nobody here could or should tell you what you should do. If the console prices are so high that you can't comfortably afford them or lack the proper value for you; then wait until the right console that meets your needs is affordable.
the bitter truth is that in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk is probably more meaningful than our criticism designating it so. ~ Anton Ego

Well it was A LOT higher in Australia where I live. PS3 700 and 650 for the 360. The next gen consoles here are 549 for the Ps3 and 599 for the Xbox One.

Wait a while, then choose after the launch software is out. Since quite a few games are going to be multiplatform including PC unless you are into the exclusives then PC all the way.

As for the Wii U:
W101
MH3U
Pikmin 3
NSMB & NLBU
are out and will entertain you for a while should that be your type of game.
The Unofficial Iron Castle that Smashes Through Mountains of every board in the multiverse. ppl who got it:2

Go and get the system that has the games you want? No use in recommending a PS4 if you want to play Civ 5, just like there's no point in recommending a PC if you want to play Halo

Buy a PC...I say you can get a pretty cheap one...few games have yet to push hardware. I imagine they will start to with this coming generation.

If you consider the price of these systems to be "high" you probably should use the money in a different area of your life.
