The people hating 8 are mostly reacting to the tiles interface, which will be optional soon anyway. By any objective standard, it does a lot of things better than 7.

Xbox was always running Windows in the background, this is nothing new.

Windows 8 is faster and more stable than Windows 7.The interface is obviously different, and not to my taste, but anyone who says Windows 8 sucks, knows nothing about it, or hasn't used it.

This.

It's also faster than Windows 7.

I'm looking forward to seeing some of the vast library of windows games migrate to the Xbox. I always wanted to play these games on the xbox.

I was hoping to finally try Decimation X2 but I think that's only on Windows Phone.

Windows 8 is terrible

I will never got back to windows 7 after 8.

Most people that complain about 8 are ignorant or lazy.

I agree, I hated on 8 so much but got it for the performance gains and absolutely love it. I have to admit though I've only seen the metro screen once or twice after getting a good start button back.

Or they aren't MS/Xbox fanboys and realize that Win8 is optimized for touchscreens and performs like *** with physical controls.

Who uses the metro screen on their desktop? It turns a simply 2 click task into 6 or 7 clicks. Metro is all I truly hate on win8 but when you get rid of it everything is wonderful.
