If this is Ryse we are talking about, it's still a QTE fest even though the button prompt is not on screen. During the executions while its slowing down there are visual cues that prompt you to push associated color of the buttons on the controller

Not going to judge the game by this little 11min video of it just showing the multiplayer. Wait until we see some single player before calling the game crap.

Every game ever consists of a series of moves associated with specific button presses whether or not those buttons are displayed on the screen if you really think about it.
