I asked in a previous thread whether or not the ads on the Xbox One dashboard were removable, as it was a deciding factor in whether or not I would consider the console. I learned that you cannot remove the ads, even by means of settings or parental controls.

My internet is satellite based so online multiplayer is impossible for me, I just like the single player or local multiplayer experience anyways.
Can the Xbox One function while offline? Meaning, can I take the disk, put it in, install it and play it with no internet connection at all during the entire process?
