The kinect is half the Xbox One, I doubt they would sell it kinectless.

Nope. Xbox would have to dominate the U.S to match the PS4's sales since Japan exists.

Seeing as the $200 cheaper 360 couldn't even beat the more expensive PS3 (not to mention the year head start), I doubt it. Sony is simply the bigger gaming brand, it sells on name alone. With MS now losing in it's 2 biggest region (NA and UK), it has no chance.

Maybe slightly but I doubt much. $100 isn't that big of a jump.

From a ps4 owner coming 360 price is not even the reason. Its the direction ms is taking the xbox.

You failed to take into account my A button, which literally fell off. If they made competent controllers, then maybe. Probably not though. The PS4 is much more powerful than the One.

Ok let me be clear on some issues here, first of all I'm a PS Fanboy (Fanman since I'm 29 years old father :) ) so keep that in mind but I will try my best to be as unbiased as possible.

XOne issues are the following:

1- Negative people conception regarding the console (weaker than the rival)

2- Some people I personally know still think that the console has DRM, I'm dead serious.

3- some people think that it can only be played by Kinect, again dead serious

4- And the most important issue is the last 3 years of the 360, I split the 360 era into 2 eras, pre-kinect era and the Kinect era, in the later era MS almost completely dropped core gaming focus, unlike the pre-Kinect era where MS did a great job in snatching PS3 3rd party exclusives such as FF13 and Tekken series, also in the Kinect era, Sony pushed first party exclusives nicely and it ended as the console with the best exclusives.

I didn't include the price because it will get cheaper, so consider it a temporary issue if you consider it an issue.

What should MS do to close the gap? do what PS3 did when it relaunched the console with the slim design, MS need to relaunch the Xone without Kinect, new logo and a new much simpler UI, by doing that I still don't think it will match the PS4 but at least it won't be such a big gap.
