Okay, I was ridiculously hyped until I read the entire conversation and honestly, it sounds like he was more or less joking. Someone said, "So when do you think you're ready to tell us about that JRPG Sakaguchi is working on for the Xbox One? Just fishing... humor me." to which Phil Spencer replies, "Tuesday..." He could be teasing or just trolling.
Ugh, dammit, letting my hype levels get out of control!
Are there any decent turn based jrpg on any of the xboxes? Seems like this would be the place to ask.
Resonance of Fate Eternal Sonata Lost Odyssey Blue Dragon Final Fantasy XIII The Last Remnant (after installing) Agarest War Enchanted Arms
That's all I can recall.
While I agree with you on that list, I have two problems with it, the first bolded, Eternal Sonata, while the Xbox 360 does have that, and I agree the game is a great JRPG, but the PS3 got a port with more content, doesn't take away that it's great just thought I would point it out.
The second bold, while I myself, enjoy the Final Fantasy XIII series I can already see people coming in looking at the list and then disregarding it just because you put FF13 on it. These are just observations. A JRPG that isn't Final Fantasy would be good for the Xbox One in my eyes and hope to enjoy whatever they unveil.
Not only that but games like Agarest War got free dlc on the PS3 and the 360 version had to pay for it, I still personally think that the fan base for jrpgs in just not there for the xbox... Tales of Vesperia(an action jrpg pretty close to dmc style play) is arguably on of the best in the series got a NA exclusivity and it still didn't get the follow ups(Grace F, Xillia & Xillia 2, and Symphonia HD collection). I'm not saying there aren't any jrpg fans in the xbox camp, there's just not enough there.
