I know, this comes across as a troll topic. Hell, I'm laughing as I type this. However, I'm being dead serious. Something happened that completely changed how I view 720p/1080p debates. I admit, I'm not a X1 owner, although I will be by this time next year. I decided to go with the PS4 this gen as my starting point. Not because of res, but rather price and a string of bad Xbox 360's since 2006. Currently on my fifth.
The reason I'm posting this here, is hopefully to help people realize (mainly those on the fence of buying a X1) that the differences between 720p and 1080p aren't as huge as people claim.
I own two tv's. One's a 42" 1080p Panasonic. The other is a 32" 720p LG. I was going to let my room-mate use the LG, and brought it up from my bedroom. While I was playing Dead Island with LIVE friends on the x360 on my Panasonic (hooked to the wall), I let my room-mate hook up my PS4 to the LG so he could play BF4.
I could't help but notice the game looked damned near twice as good on my 720 tv! I actually liked it so much, I switched out the two and he's currently using the Panasonic!
Just goes to show you, numbers aren't everything. Enjoy your XBONE Guys and Gal.

Someone tell him how pixel density works... I don't feel like it
Ok well you have this big number that fanboys like to pretend is all that matters but in reality games like ryse at 900p look better. But fanboys cling to the resolution saying "impossible ryse looks bad its 900p lmao"
Your average person just walking by and observing a game at 720p and 1080p would not even notice the difference. You know how many people tell me "TITANFALL LOOKS EPIC" of course if you are hardcore enough to be posting on a gaming forum you will downplay these statements with elitest bigotry.

Listen I'm next in line about arguing over pixels and how it doesn't make the game better really but to flat out deny physics is kinda biased. If they are the same size then the 1080p set has better texture details...period.
It's quite possibly that the 720p tv looks better, could be more accurate, have less lag, different panel type but to say it's because of pixels is childish.
Personally I take quality > quantity. I'd rather have a color accurate 720 than non 1080 the same as I'd rather have really flat speakers that are quiet than crappy sounding ones that get loud.
The human eye can't even tell the difference between 1080p and 720p. Buying a 1080p television is completely useless.

I really stop caring about resolution after 'game looks really good and is fun.' The rest just seems stupid. Mario 3d world is probably in 1080p. Ryse isnt. Second son is probably in 1080p. Titanfall isnt. It really shouldnt make a difference.
