How can anyone defend this policy? Sure, 85% of the games might not interest you, but why wouldn't you want the option at least? This is just a bad policy that is starting to backfire on MS

It's ironic. I would imagine that Microsoft introduced the parity clause to make sure that the Xbox Brand was the forefront of console indie titles: As in if you want an indie, you go to the Xbox console because indies are published there first and foremost.

Except currently it seems to be having the opposite effect. If you want your indies then go to another platform since Xbox isn't getting them.

All of you people arguing that it's weeding out the bad titles. It's not always going to be the case, and in fact you could already argue that it has already happened with The Swapper. But what happens when the Xbox One misses out on the next Braid, or the next Minecraft, or the next Fez, or the next Super Meat Boy?

I can't believe those that are actually defending this antiquated policy that is quite obviously not working for Microsoft like the way they had intended.

Wow this is getting as bad as the Wii U boards.

"Not coming to the Wii U? Well good, we don't need that stupid dudebro shooter on our superior Nintendo console"

"Not coming to the Xbone? Well good, we don't need that stupid hipster indie trash on our superior Microsoft Console"

A fox sees some delicious looking grapes hanging from a vine draped over a tall tree branch deep in the forest, he gets a hard running start and leaps as high as he can but the grapes remain just out of his reach. He tries two more times with the same result before giving up. As he is walking away he mutters to himself "those grapes are probably sour anyway".
