Was Brute Force ever hyped? It was a great game revolutionary to consoles
It was going to be a Halo killer! (Yes, it was an Xbox exclusive designed to kill the Xbox exclusive)
I remember the OXM would hype it more and more with each bit if information released. Bungie members were helping get the aiming just right, it uses an amazing engine that didn't use polygons, dozens of worlds to explore, four amazingly interesting cast members...
Then it came out and it was a steaming pile of meh. I'll admit that split-screen team vs team was pretty fun though. But the game lacked character and polish. Plus every weapon felt crap.
Sonic Lost World. I am a HUGE Sonic fan and after the great Colors and Generations, yeah I was hyped up. It looked really good in the trailers.. In the end, though, the game just felt short and not good at all.. Bad level design, cheesy villains, bad controls.. it pretty much fails at everything.
In don't blame Titanfall for that. It was the insane marketing that catapulted the game into God hood. It was poised as the be all, end all of video games and NOTHING can live up to those expectations. Nothing.
