Crytek is not in good form, they just sold off the Homefront series to Deep Silver along with their studio that was developing Homefront: The Revolution. Now things seemed to be going fine until they released Ryse, which was pretty much criticized in every review for it's shallow, repetitive gameplay and short campaign.

I think Crytek put too much faith in partnering with Microsoft for Ryse, they probably thought the Xbox One would be flying off shelves and be the sales leader this gen.

I will try and see it from your point of view, but I doubt we'll be able to fit both our heads up there.

Ryse isn't their primary problem.

Trying to sell an engine no one wants is their problem.
I'm not the nicest person you'll meet.
Have a real point please.

Possibly and possibly not, we honestly don't know enough about their financials or the details of their contract with Microsoft to really answer this.

Absolutely not, Ryse in itself was a system seller, and to this day is still making sales for the people over at Microsoft®, CryTek have had their own share of financial troubles, but I don't think it has anything to do with the sales of Ryse. It may have not sold as much as what CryTek were expecting, but it certainly achieved above average, with reviews stating the game having 'beautiful, stately dialogue' and 'top-notch voice acting and mo-cap', it certainly is the pinnacle of the hack and slash action adventure.

Only on the Xbox One®.
