So maybe no more random disconnects? Or was that due to loose batteries? I have been using the XB1 controllers in wired mode with USB cable for couple of years now as it kept happening on my Day 1 console.

They aren't making a new model just for the X.

It's the same console, just better. There's nothing different about using the system compared to the original Xbox One.

X1X uses the same controllers as the X1S, which is slightly different than the original X1 controllers. I have both and have had no disconnect issues with either so I can't really comment, but the X1S controllers feel a little better imo.
