You weren’t suppose to plug the day one into a surge protector either. I use one on my x and haven’t had a problem surprisingly because mine isn’t even that great

MS has always not recommended the use of a surge protector atleast since the 360.

This isn't news. It has it's own built in surge protector.

Such a terrible news boy.

When I worked for support; it seemed like plugging the console into the wall fixed everything. Also how most of the customers argued that, "it's always been plugged into this and this has never happened before." It got to the point where Microsoft updated the support page with that method.
Currently playing: Injustice 2, Forza Horizon 3, Titanfall 2, Sims 4, Destiny 2

The author cited an Xbox Support Tweet saying: "Did you know that your Xbox One is designed to be plugged directly into a wall outlet? Check out our console power guide here: http://xbx.lv/1NdkB8M."

Then, for some reason, titled his article: "Microsoft recommends not to use a surge protector on Xbox One X."

My issue here is that Microsoft recommends users to plug all versions of the Xbox One directly into a wall outlet; not just the One X.

This also isn't news. It has been known since the launch of the original Xbox One in 2013.

Of course TC thinks this is new. Keep showing that you don’t actually own an Xbox One.

So... he is supposed to go into every topic, and give people information on things they may not know..?

Kind of an odd thing to say from someone that doesn't like spoon-feeding people information despite the fact they have been frequently posting links to this board for over three years now.

I don't see what that would accomplish considering the author cited a Tweet from two days ago about the Xbox One in general, and then ran a story titled: "Microsoft recommends not to use a surge protector on Xbox One X."
