How likely is it that Crackdown and Sea of Thieves will have some kind of microtransaction system in place at this point?

I thought for sure Sea of Thieves was going to be hit hard with the Micro stick.
All the loot gathering and we still have no idea what it will be used on,
a good guess is cosmetics for your pirate and ship.

That being the case do we think they were designing a loot box style experience around it?
Would that idea still be viable or will they scrap it?

Any opinions on the rest of their IP?
Everyone seems to have loved req packs in Halo, I never, but it got a lot of popular feedback.
Do you think the system stays in place for the next Halo?
How about Gears?

I doubt Microsoft is going to stop. Not unless we see bigger backlash than Battlefront 2.

As long as they don't make it intrusive I can deal with it. I only tried the Gears 4 trial but it seems like most characters are unlocked through lootboxes, which annoyed me since you started off with a healthy amount of characters and you could unlock most through fairly simple challenges before.

You seemed to get a fair amount of boxes and such but c'mon.

This x1000. Halo 5 and gears 4 where totally garbage because of the micro transactions.

That being said, I don't think it's going to affect any games at this point, yet. MS isn't going to change anything, because at this point I'm sure them and a a lot of deelopers feel nothing is wrong with them. It's IF/WHEN the government puts some kind of regulation in place against it, will things get changed. iMO that's not going to happen in the short term. Maybe in the next 6 months or year.

GAAS is Sony and Microsoft's future.
Sony: "Killzone runs at native 1080p and 60 fps"
DF: "KZ uses a processing method that blends 960 x 1080 images together."

Yeah all that free DLC really got in the way of my fun. I never felt like I was grinding with either of those games.
